BelManage successfully deployed system wide for security patch management, software license control, asset tracking, and more
Maynard, MA, USA -- 25 February 2004 -- Belarc, Inc. announced today that the U.S. Census Bureau has successfully deployed Belarc's BelManage system on its network of desktops, servers and laptops. The Census Bureau has deployed BelManage on 8,500 seats and this will shortly grow to all of its 10,000 seats.
BelManage was extremely easy to roll-out on their geographically distributed network and met all of their expectations. BelManage helps the Census Bureau to automatically track their security hotfixes, Microsoft software licenses, and hardware IT assets for their LAN consolidation project.
"We are very pleased to have successfully deployed BelManage in another large, geographically distributed computer environment, said Ken Shaw, Sales Account Manager with Belarc. "BelManage is ideal for this environment because it uses a single server and does not require ongoing local administrator support. The information in BelManage is automatically updated daily and is always accessible by both local and headquarters IT staff."
Belarc, Inc. develops and licenses Internet and Intranet based products which help make personal computers easier to use and maintain by commercial and government users and individual consumers. Belarc's products are in use on well over twelve million PCs and are licensed by numerous end-users including Dana, Imation, Methodist Healthcare, NASA, National Park Service, Pacific Life, Sealy, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army, U.S. Census Bureau, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Navy, Veterans Administration, WebMD, and many more.
